Confirmation First
First's Confirmation program for youth in grades 7 and 8 is an exciting experience of Christian development, social interaction and service learning in our community. Join us on Wednesdays from 5:45-7:30 p.m.
- 5:45 p.m. Gather in Conference Room A for announcements and overview
- 6-6:25 p.m. Large group lesson
- 6:30-7:30 p.m. Small group discussion led by dedicated adult mentors
At regular times throughout the year the students also engage in service projects and social events. Friends are always welcome to attend, and you do not have to be a member of First in order to participate in our confirmation activities.

Confirmation — Our Lenten Journey
During Lent Confirmation will continue to meet at the following times:
- Large group lesson led by Janet Larson from 6-6:25 p.m. in Conference Room A
- Small group discussion with mentors from 6:30-7 p.m.
- Lenten Worship Service at 7 p.m.
Over the next few weeks, Confirmation will focus on Jesus’ lessons to his followers and how he calls each one of us to respond. As we have been worshipping with the focus on Return to the Lord, our lessons will complement and mirror these truths.
March 3 — Service with focus on the Feeding of the 5,000.
March 10 — Worship with focus on how worship and Transfiguration relate.
Confirmation Lenten Lock In
All confirmation students and their friends (limit one, please) are invited to attend our Lenten Lock In on Friday, March 26 from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m. on Saturday, March 27. Join us for this great overnight event! We will have dinner and then enjoy
large group activities, bible study, ping pong tournament, snacks, a movie and much more in between. All participates
should bring the following items: sleeping bag & pillow, comfy clothes, personal items, snacks to share, $5 for the evening meal and a signed Health Form/Permission Slip. Forms are available at the Welcome Center or click here!
- Adult volunteers are needed to assist in the kitchen, help with games,
and for safety, we need at least two chaperones to spend the night.
